Sheryl Underwood is a American comedian, TV host and actress best known for hosting the popular daily talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she grew up in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl has a troubled family. She spent most of her young life caring for her older sister Frankie who was afflicted by polio. She experienced a lot problems with her mother as she was growing as a teenager. Sheryl said that at one time, her mother stabbed her father for being too close to the father. Sheryl became a military officer after graduating from the college. She was interested in comedy. She became the first female finalist in the competition Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her TV career in 1992 when she became a frequent performer in the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she was host of The show Oh Drama! Then in 2011, she started being as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. She's been in programs including Bulworth Nikki Beauty Shop and others.
